Mothers and seafarers: the nets that are woven where there are no rights
Women dedicated to the fishing industry in Sonora experienced their pregnancies while working on filleting fish and seafood. Many of them do not have access to social security or decent working conditions to live their motherhood. Community organizing has been the way to deal with this lack.
